Support for speech and language therapists

Change Communication was the first organisation in the UK to deliver speech and language therapy for people experiencing homelessness. We know many speech and language therapists are concerned about homelessness and want to make a positive difference in this area.

Leigh Andrews, Head of Speech and Language Therapy Development at Change Communication, currently chairs the Homelessness Clinical Excellence Network for speech and language therapists including students. It is free to join and meets online to discuss ideas, developments, and research in this area. All are welcome, whether you work with adults or children, in hospital or the community, or are still training. Email leigh.andrews@chgcomm.org to join.

Where possible we provide speech and language therapy placement opportunities for students through City St George’s, University of London, but we do not provide shadowing opportunities for staff or volunteers outside of this formal and regulated route.
