Speech and Language Therapists’ Homelessness Clinical Excellence Network (CEN)

The Homelessness CEN hopes to raise the national profile of the prevalence of communication difficulties amongst people who are homeless.

Change Communication advocated for improved NICE guidance on access to health and social care for people experiencing homelessness. The guidance now specifically includes reference to speech language and communication needs and suggestions to effectively communicate with people needing help. Westminster Rough Sleepers Initiative:

Change Communication provides assessment and interventions to people experiencing homelessness with communication needs in Westminster. This includes supporting services and professionals to build on and develop their understanding of communication needs to promote inclusive support.
