About us

Change Communication is a registered charity. Known first for our work in homelessness and brain injury we have developed into a thriving organisation addressing communication barriers in homelessness services and beyond.

Our people

Our staff and volunteers have used or worked in homelessness, mental health and substance misuse services. We describe ourselves as working class. We come from different countries and are different colours.

Our approach

We recognise that many people we work with have experienced difficulties in their lives. Our staff work in trauma-informed ways and focus on what we can practically do to help.

We know lots of people like to meet us face to face and prefer a shorter appointment. Sometimes is nice to get away from offices and formal environments, so we’re happy to meet people where it’s convenient and comfortable for them.

We treat people fairly, following good employment and volunteer practice. We follow NHS pay bands and noone is paid less than the hourly London Living Wage.

Our organisation

A Board of Trustees is responsible for the charity. Trustees are not paid or employed by the charity. We follow good charity practice and are members of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations. We are funded by statutory organisations, charitable trusts and public donations. if you want to see what we are up to follow us on social media.
